Murri Chamber of Commerce Hosts Indigenous Business Awards Celebrating First Nations Leadership, Innovation, and Cultural Impact

The Murri Chamber of Commerce celebrates the outstanding achievements and contributions of Indigenous-owned businesses across Australia. These prestigious awards recognise businesses that demonstrate excellence in leadership, innovation, and cultural impact. Alongside the First Nations Employment and Economic Development Forum the awards showcase the achievements of First Nations entrepreneurs who are transforming industries, preserving culture, and driving sustainable economic growth.

Supported by key partners, the awards promote collaboration within the Indigenous business community and provide opportunities for networking, knowledge-sharing, and inspiration.

In hosting these awards, our vision is to:

  • Recognise and reward the contributions of Indigenous Australians to business and the economy.

  • Celebrate the collective Indigenous spirit and cultural diversity that enriches Australia.

  • Provide role models who inspire other First Nations individuals and communities to pursue and thrive in business.

  • Showcase Australia as a vibrant destination for business creation, growth, and sustainability across all industries, regardless of background or heritage.

  • Acknowledge the contributions of government and corporate entities in supporting Indigenous business ventures.

  • Foster national harmony by highlighting the positive impact and successes of Indigenous entrepreneurs.
